FAQ

How do I convert KMZ to SHP?

Drop the KMZ above, check it on the map, then download the zip. Each geometry type is its own Shapefile (.shp, .shx, .dbf, .prj).

Which coordinate system will the Shapefile use?

The UTM zone where your data sits, chosen automatically, so distances are in metres. You can pick another EPSG code, including WGS 84 (EPSG:4326), before downloading.

Are my folders and placemark data kept?

Yes. The folder goes into a layer column, the placemark name into text, and each extended data field into its own column.

How much does it cost?

The map preview is free, files under 1 MB download for free (3 a day), bigger files are $5.

What happens to my files?

Your files are deleted after 24 hours and never used for AI training. They are only used to make your conversion.

Can I get a refund?

No: the free map preview is there so you can check the result before you pay. If a file doesn't open, e-mail us and we'll fix the conversion.

Paid downloads?

Paid downloads open in a few days. Until then files under 1 MB download for free, and Max AI is free to try.
